Make Your Home Green with Natural Cleaning Supplies

Tuesday, July 14th, 2009

Once you found out you were pregnant, you started taking the best possible care of yourself.  You took prenatal vitamins, drank plenty of water, and ate a healthy well balanced diet.  All of that is great, but have you considered exposure to toxins from the environment.  It is never too late to reduce exposure to potential toxins, and household cleaners are a great place to start.

 Cleaning products

You may be wondering if non-toxic cleaners really get your house clean, and they do.  Not only are there many green cleaners available on the market, you can make many yourself.  Use baking soda as a scouring agent on non-scratch countertops, bathtubs, and sinks. Vinegar or lemon juice make a great cleaner for wooden chopping blocks.  Make a vinegar and water solution to clean windows and mirrors.
